Mr Magnolia | Quentin Blake

A wonderful poem about Mr Magnolia, a happy man who is missing a boot.
It’s a good rhyming book to have.
It has good pictures and makes people laugh.
I think it should be for ages 4-5.

Squishy McFluff | Pip Jones
Reviewed by Hugh Morris, age 6
This book is a poem about an invisible cat.
There is a girl called Ava and she pretends that everything that goes wrong is done by the cat, but it’s actually her. Her parents get her Great-Grandad Bill to teach Squishy McFluff to behave, because the naughtiest thing she did and blamed the cat for was making the bathroom into a rainforest.
I really enjoyed this book because it’s really funny; it’s just Ava trying to not get told off.
It’s quite easy to read and it makes sense. This book has nice pictures too. I could read it to myself but it’s nice for someone else to read it to you too.
I would recommend this book for age 4-8 girls and boys.
I would give this book 9/10.

You Choose | Nick Sharratt & Pippa Goodheart

This book is about getting you to choose your favourite things, including houses, friends and family, transport, what to eat, pets and what to put in your house.
Even though this book is aimed at young children, I still love it – and so does my dad! I like it because it’s never ending fun for all ages, from 2 to 102!
