A Cracking Christmas in Cromford (?)

Thursday 20th December 5.30 – 8.00 p.m.

This year, Cromford businesses have decided to pull together and coordinate their pre-Christmas opening arrangements. Our village is a hub of enterprise, the meeting-place of eight through-roads, well-served by buses and with its own railway station. This has helped Cromford, centred around our attractive Market Place and Millpond, keep a range of shops, services and other businesses surprising for such a small community.

In previous years, shops such as Scarthin Books have made their own arrangements for special pre-Christmas opening. This year, to help kick-start a newly-founded traders’ association, over a dozen businesses are opening until at least 8 p.m. on the evening of Thursday 20th December. There will be special Cracking Christmas discounts, offers and gifts at most shops and a free snowman trail for children, who can collect clues from the different locations to solve a puzzle and win a prize while adults completing the trail will be offered a glass of mulled wine.
