The annual Cromford Apple Day will be held outside Scarthin Books on The Promenade on Saturday October 20th with the unusual music and merrymaking accompanying strenuous pressing of your surplus crop. The Boat Inn is putting on a beer/cider festival over the weekend too.

APPLES are in somewhat SHORT SUPPLY this year, if you know of any laden trees or lawns or pavements LET DAVE MITCHELL KNOW and he will be round at the speed of van to scoop them up. davescarthin@gmail.com or 01629-823456.
There will also be displays of artwork by local artists and a whole host of stalls selling everything from clothing to home-made cakes.
